Agricultural Waste Management

Turning Agricultural Residues into Sustainable Packaging
Agricultural activities generate large quantities of biomass residues that are often burned, dumped, or underutilised. At Omaa Sustainable Tech LLP, we work towards converting these residues into useful and sustainable materials through innovative biological and manufacturing solutions.
What We Work With
Our agricultural biomass feedstock can include:
• Rice husk
• Coffee husk
• Sugarcane bagasse
• Crop residues
• Straw and other suitable agricultural residues
• Other locally available lignocellulosic biomass
Our Solution
We utilise suitable agricultural residues as a substrate for the cultivation of mycelium, a natural fungal network capable of binding biomass particles together.
Through controlled processing and moulding, the biomass can be transformed into mycelium-based packaging materials designed as sustainable alternatives to conventional packaging materials.
Our Goal
Our objective is to:
• Reduce the open burning and disposal of agricultural residues
• Convert low-value biomass into useful products
• Develop biodegradable and sustainable packaging alternatives
• Promote circular utilisation of agricultural resources
• Create additional value for agricultural communities
From farm residues to sustainable packaging we turn agricultural waste into an opportunity.
